The newly redecorated garden room at The Swan in Wells added to the delightful atmosphere of the wedding party. Despite challenges with parking and access, it didn’t dampen the spirits of the bride and groom. The lively and memorable evening was enhanced by a mix of 70s, 80s, and 90s tunes, including some beloved cheesy hits.
It’s always a pleasure to play a Wedding at The Swan in Wells – and no, that’s not because it’s 5 minutes away from where I’m based! The garden room has been redecorated since the last time I visited and looks fresher and lighter. Parking and access leave more to be desired but that’s my problem and not the Bride & Groom’s.
I’d only managed to have a chat with Lisa (the Bride) before the Wedding date and not Giulio – but he quickly grabbed me the moment he saw me and asked me to play some 90s tunes, which certainly wasn’t a problem.
It was a lively evening with a real mixture of 70s, 80s and 90s being played along with a good amount of cheese. It’s sometimes tricky in The Swan as the bar is in a different room but at least it’s downwind from the speakers so you can always try calling the (mainly men) that hold-up the bar during the earlier parts of the evening.
