Ask any of my friends which decade of music they associate me with and it would definitely be the 80s. Aged 10, my first record was ‘Hey you the Rock steady crew’. Sadly this was closely followed up by ‘Rat Rapping’. I think that sums up the 80s though, some of the best ie. Michael Jackson, and some of the worst ie. The Birdie Song. So when Jackie asked me to DJ her 80s themed 40th many months ago I’d been waiting excitedly ever since.
