It’s not often I end a party with The Prodigy’s Smack my bitch up. It’s not often I get it requested either. But with the musical brief from the birthday boy being ‘songs from the 90s up until modern day’ it was fair game. And one of his mates was very insistant that I play it last. Very insistant.

I knew we were in for a fun night the moment I saw the birthday boy appear in a Borat style mankini – luckily still with his clothes underneath. However this upset some of his mates who were unhappy that he hadn’t embraced the full spirit of the evening – so he was encouraged out of them as the night went on.
Musically the ladies present enjoyed a fair amount of cheese and boyband material, the boys on the other hand went crazy to the likes of Queen, Hanson and Reef. All in all a great night was had by everyone – only another 10 years until his 40th!
